Windows Server 2008 Books

February 21, 2008

A new operating system, a new book shelf.  That’s the way things seem to go in our line of work.  Windows Server 2008 is already making it’s way into production around the world so I thought I’d dig up what books are out there.  The first place to check for us in Ireland is good old Easons.

Amazon is a regular place for us to go shopping.  There’s LOADS on there.

Finally, I’ll mention the books that are by Mark Minasi … not that I’m biased or anything 😉  Mark is leading the authoring of 3 "Mastering Windows Server 2008" books.  The first will be for newbies to server administration, the second will cover materials common to all administrators and the third book will cover those advanced subjects that only 20% of administrators will typically use, e.g. NAP and WDS.  What’s going to be different about Mark’s books is that they are based on the RTM release of Windows Server 2008 and not beta or RC versions.  I can confirm that there are differences.

If anyone has any recommendations then please do post some comments and share your thoughts.
